War Thunder PC and Mac requirements, with a Linux listing note
Gaijin’s official FAQ publishes separate Windows, macOS, and Linux requirement tables. The supplied WIN/Mac label is preserved, while Linux support is documented rather than silently folded into the platform field.
Requirements published by platform
Steam's current Windows minimum lists Windows 10 64-bit, a dual-core 2.2 GHz processor, 4 GB RAM, a DirectX 11-level Radeon 77XX or GeForce GTX 660-class card, DirectX 11, broadband internet, and 70 GB of storage. The recommended Windows tier lists Windows 10/11 64-bit, an Intel Core i5 or Ryzen 5 3600 or better, 16 GB RAM, a DirectX 11-or-higher GeForce 1060 or Radeon RX 570 or better, and 95 GB storage. The page also gives distinct macOS specifications: the minimum lists Catalina 10.15, a Core i5 at 2.2 GHz (Xeon is unsupported), 6 GB RAM, Metal-compatible graphics, and 70 GB; the recommended tier lists Big Sur or newer as named by Steam, a Core i7 (Xeon unsupported), 8 GB RAM, Radeon Vega II or higher with Metal, and 95 GB.
Gaijin's official FAQ and Steam both provide separate Linux requirements tables in addition to Windows and macOS. That is additional platform evidence beyond the supplied WIN/Mac label. The project metadata remains unchanged as requested; the Linux listing should be resolved if that field is intended to enumerate every desktop platform rather than the requested Windows/Mac subset.
Install and compare performance
Use the official Gaijin site or Steam client and check the live platform-specific table before downloading. Ensure adequate space for the correct operating system's listed requirement and updates. Install current graphics drivers from the GPU vendor and keep a record of the driver and game build.
War Thunder's vehicle types and modes place different loads on a PC. If investigating performance, reproduce the same mode, replay or test scene, resolution, and graphics options. Record frame-rate behavior and change one setting at a time. The store requirements do not promise a specific frame rate, and this guide does not present an untested competitive preset.
What remains untested
No Windows, Mac, or Linux benchmark is included. A publishable performance guide needs the exact platform, hardware, driver, game version, settings, and repeatable scenario. Recheck the listed storage and operating-system versions before release.
