Project Entropy’s mobile update record moves ahead of its public PC news archive

As of October 30, Apple’s App Store lists Project Entropy version 1.49.0, while the game’s public news archive still shows its latest dated notices from December 2022. Steam lists the PC release in 2024, but that gap does not establish the status of every client.

Project Entropy’s public update trail is uneven across its platforms. On October 30, Apple’s App Store version-history page listed version 1.49.0 at the top, with a brief note about improving display effects and text descriptions in some interfaces. The same page showed version 1.48.0 dated September 25 and earlier 2026 versions. That is evidence of ongoing iOS maintenance, but it does not tell PC players which build they have or whether the changes were released simultaneously on every client.

The discrepancy appears when those records are compared with the game’s web news archive. The official archive’s visible update notices are dated December 16, 2022: versions 0.9.4, 0.9.5, and 0.9.6. Steam, meanwhile, identifies FunPlus International AG as the developer and publisher and lists the PC release as April 16, 2024. Its public news hub did not expose a dated 2026 patch announcement in this check. Together, these sources show that the old news page does not provide a complete account of the more recent app-store version history.

That distinction matters for a cross-platform strategy game. A store listing can show that a mobile package received a new version while leaving unanswered whether the PC client shares its build number, patch timing, or feature set. Similarly, a Steam release date confirms when that store version launched; it cannot establish that development or service stopped afterward. No conclusion about the game’s current activity should be drawn from the archived 2022 web posts alone.

For players, the most useful next check is the version number displayed by the client they actually use. Mobile players can compare it with Apple’s version history. PC players should check Steam’s installed build and any in-client notices, then compare those details with FunPlus support or a newer developer announcement. The short App Store note is too general to identify a specific gameplay change, so it should not be read as a new season, balance pass, or feature rollout.

This report therefore documents a source-record mismatch, rather than claiming that one platform has received a particular feature before another. The exact PC release date and the latest iOS version are separate facts; the public materials checked here do not reconcile them. Until FunPlus publishes a unified changelog or client-specific notes, readers should treat the version histories as platform-specific and avoid assuming that the mobile update describes the current Windows client.
