Arknights: Endfield brings its account-linked Steam client to Talos-II

GRYPHLINE opened the Steam version of Arknights: Endfield alongside the Sanctuary of Ink update in October. The PC release supports cross-platform account progression, while its own system requirements and update route make it a distinct client to plan for.

Gryphline’s Steam release gives existing Endfield players another way to access the strategy RPG, with one important continuity feature: the developer says account data can be shared across platforms. Players who already have a Gryphline account can link it and continue their Talos-II progress on Steam rather than beginning a separate save. The launch announcement lists the Asia and Americas/Europe servers as supported.

The release date needs careful wording. Steam lists October 14, 2026 as the release date, and the official launch notice is dated October 14. That notice says the Steam version became available after the October 15 “Sanctuary of Ink” version update. Gryphline’s pre-launch developer communication likewise described Steam availability after that update. The safest reading is that the store’s date and the in-game update schedule are recorded differently; players should rely on the client and official notices for the actual download window.

The Steam client does not simply mirror the publisher launcher’s maintenance process. Gryphline says Steam downloads and updates must be managed through Steam, not through GRYPHLINK. The launch notice also gives its own Windows requirements: a 64-bit Windows 10 or Windows 11 system, DirectX 11.1 or later, 50 GB of free storage, and another 40 GB during extraction. An SSD is recommended. The listed minimum is a Core i5-9400F-class processor, 16 GB of RAM, and a GTX 1060-class graphics card; recommended hardware rises to a Core i7-10700K and RTX 2060 class.

The Steam launch coincided with “Sanctuary of Ink,” rather than being a content-free storefront addition. Before release, Gryphline previewed changes to facility placement and farming in the AIC system, including the ability to build with materials held in depots and tighter crop placement. It also announced an Auto-Farmer facility for the farm in Si’s Painting. Those notes described planned version changes; players should check the live version notes for what is currently available.

For returning players, the practical checklist is simple: confirm the correct region server, link the existing account, leave room for the larger extraction footprint, and update through Steam. The store’s live review rating changes over time, so it is a current snapshot rather than a permanent measure of the launch reception.
